I was 7 years old when I prepared my first kantaifi, having grown up in a family patisserie. My passion for pastries began to grow at that point.
When I almost gave up on pastry making
Even though I enjoyed pastry, the challenges of this career, such as working on national holidays, Christmas, and Easter made me decide to study something completely different until I arrived at Naxos.
There is always a comeback.
When I returned to Naxos in 2015 to complete my military duty, I made a galaktoboureko for myself and my friends to share. As a result, I realized how essential it is for me to produce and offer people delicious, visually pleasing desserts. The thought of growing older and not being able to open my own glass display and enjoy a wonderful pastry as I did as a kid was unimaginable to me. So, on April 6th, 2016, I opened my own pastry business.
As Siropiasto evolved...
A series of seminars across the world helped me further my knowledge of patisserie when I established my own pastry shop. It took us a long time to develop our ice cream and patiserrie recipes, as well as our famous Siropiasta that we named our firm after based on our historic background.
